Pheim Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd (Pheim Islamic) is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd (Pheim Malaysia). Pheim Islamic obtained its Capital Markets Services Licence from the Securities Commission Malaysia on 4 October 2021.

Pheim Islamic benefits from all of Pheim Malaysia’s expertise where their unit trust funds are award-winning and have weathered through many crises since inception. Over the years, Pheim placed a great deal of emphasis in honing our Investment Philosophy and building a strong reputation which in hindsight was far from an easy endeavour. Now that Pheim has established a long-term track record that has been tried and tested to outperform each and every benchmark, the time is now for us to expand into Islamic-based investing. Pheim Islamic has been set up for this exact purpose where three new Islamic funds have been set up to help investors diversify their assets and grow their wealth in foreign stock markets.

The establishment of Pheim Islamic is timely for institutional, local and global investors to tap into our Islamic fund management capabilities and expertise, and a wide range of Islamic or ethical products. Pheim Islamic seeks to grow the Islamic fund management industry as an important channel for mobilising human capital as well as developing talent pool to be proficient in the area of Islamic-based investing. This is in-line with the goal of driving the next phase of internationalisation for Malaysia’s Islamic markets given that Islamic wealth management industry has clearly been identified as having significant potential for growth.

Pheim Islamic not only contributes to Malaysia’s Islamic capital market but also sets Kuala Lumpur up as a key center for investors who would like to participate in the growth of Islamic fund investing. This also ties in neatly with the Securities Commission’s objective of expanding the blueprint of Islamic-based investing to cater to a growing demand for such a mandate amongst local institutions and global investors.

Currently, Pheim Islamic has 2 representatives holding Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licenses with an average of 12 years of investment experience in fund management industry.
