Best Domestic Equity Fund Manager (Conventional) 2023

Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd (Pheim Malaysia) is pleased to inform you that Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia (EPF) has announced on 24 May 2024 the list of winners for 2023 EPF External Fund Managers Awards in recognition of their performances that meet its stringent criteria. The criteria to win the EPF Award was evaluated mainly based on Return on Investment (ROI), Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWRR), and Information Ratio in that order of importance.

EPF is one of the oldest retirement funds in the world. Established in 1951, the EPF remains in commitment to build the foundation for sustainable, holistic and equitable well-being for all Malaysians.

Pheim Malaysia is the winner of 2023 Best External Fund Manager for Domestic Equity (Conventional). This was the second consecutive year Pheim Malaysia won the award.

Pheim Malaysia was appointed by EPF since 1 April 1997, which was more than 27 years ago. No other External Fund Manager has ever managed this Domestic Equity (Conventional) Mandate continuously for 27 years.

Thanks to Pheim’s Investment Philosophy of “Never Fully Invest At All Times” and our investment team that helped us to weather through the crises. Pheim is a strong believer that crisis creates problems but also provides opportunities. Investors who have long-term funds and invest in the equities are likely to get a return of more than the inflation rate and the fixed-deposit rate in the long run. Investing during depressed market conditions and following Pheim’s Investment Philosophy to buy and sell near the trough and peak respectively would boost your returns.

Pheim Malaysia would like to take this opportunity to thank EPF for its foresight and confidence in giving Pheim Malaysia the opportunity to help add value to EPF’s investment objectives.

On 24 May 2024, EPF hosted an annual dinner and invited Pheim’s management team to join them for the festivities

Pheim Malaysia is certainly grateful to investors who have been supportive and faithful to us. Pheim Malaysia hopes to make its best effort to continue our excellent relationship and performance in the coming years.

To show our appreciation for your support, Pheim’s founder has recently published a second book titled “Never Fully Invest At All Times” on 4 January 2024, Pheim Malaysia’s 30th Anniversary. This will help you weather through crises and grow your wealth by taking acceptable risks in the long run. We believe this will add value to  the capital market industry and society.  The book unveils a treasury of insights which cover proven investment strategies, philosophy and thinking processes, market inefficiencies, crises & opportunities and risk management with real-life examples. This will benefit the readers from the wisdom of an award-winning fund manager who have consistently achieved success over 48 years in the highly volatile world of investments in Asia in the long run. Learn from his mistakes and triumphs, gaining a unique perspective on overcoming challenges and identifying opportunities in volatile markets.
